YoungTri’s 2nd Birthday

Wow, can’t believe it’s already been two years!

So much has happened since the launch of YoungTri on January 8th, 2011. We currently have members from 41 states and 14 countries, and we are continually working on growing and expanding. We were even featured in the cover story of the winter edition of USA Triathlon Magazine!

For me, YoungTri means so much to me in so many different ways. I’ve made SO many lasting friendships through YoungTri. One of them I can even call my best friend. I’m lucky enough that although we are from New Jersey and Florida (respectively), we ended up at college in the same city. And without YoungTri, she wouldn’t be in my life. (so crazy!) At the same time, I’ve learned a TON about the triathlon world and the people who comprise it. I have so much more to learn, and I’m really enjoying myself!

For others, I hope that YoungTri continues to become a go-to resource for all things triathlon. We’re working on improving that even more this year. The executive board members (we’ve all known each other for almost two years now – hard to believe) and I are working on so many things for this year that we hope you’ll like. Whether it’s through reaching out to other members, relating to blog posts, using some of our tips or suggestions or something else, I hope YoungTri will be a valuable resource to you this year.

Here’s to another great year!

Tri hard,
