Sometimes there’s nothing better than taking Sunday as a relax, do-little day. To take a break from the intense training, work, and stress from the week. Today was one of those days. I find that it really helps with my mental health to take one of these “stress-free days” as often as I can. This can be especially tough during the school year — but sometimes, what’s important is to put things in perspective. We’re used to being constantly rushed — having to do this, that, and the other thing by certain deadlines and stressing to get them done right away. But sometimes that long training ride is better left until next week; the paper better tackled tomorrow when your mind is fresh.
It’s okay to take a day to chill once in awhile.
That work will get done.
The paper will get written.
Sometimes it helps to just take a day to breathe.
